Our areas of work

It is a long way from the idea to the finished product, which we can only master successfully by working hand in hand as a team, also between the work areas.

The product development department is constantly involved in the new and further development of innovative drive system components in the field of e-mobility. Our team works together to advance our company in the areas of electric drives, power electronics, batteries and their joint system integration on the bicycle market, from the conception to the implementation, the support of prototype production to the testing of individual components and assemblies. The design, construction and testing of mechanical components and assemblies, as well as the construction and simulation of electronic components are within the team's scope of duties. In the area of software programming, we work both on embedded systems for use in our drive components and on PC software solutions for use in production processes or as tools for our customers and partners. Pendix is also active in the field of app programming in order to constantly enrich the product portfolio with digital solutions.

The IT service works closely with the product development department. Here, the programming for the various products is carried out on the basis of the requirements defined in the product development. In addition, the employees of the IT department ensure that the company's internal network and communication structure runs smoothly. Especially in today's world, this department is responsible for another important task: the security of the IT structure. They ensure that unauthorised digital access attempts are intercepted and that customer data is secure.

Once our products have been designed, our purchasing department starts to determine the requirements and procure the necessary materials. We want to be able to offer our customers our products even in (supply-related) difficult times and are therefore constantly working on establishing consistent supply chains. In addition, product quality testing is an important task that is carried out in cooperation with other departments in order to be able to offer the best possible version of our products.

The Pendix Group stands for quality made in Germany. In our production facility in Wilkau-Haßlau, Saxony, the components pass through important stations before they can be packed together into a Pendix eDrive and shipped to our customers. For this purpose, production employees who are responsible for the installation of assemblies and small parts of various materials work closely together with the employees of the order and logistics centre.

Once the product is ready, marketing is an important task of the company. Our marketing team is responsible for all activities that make our brand, products and services better known. This makes the work very versatile and varied. If you have just taken a look at our website, then you already know a small part of the tasks. Our social media channels are also part of it, as well as the flyer at the retailer, the instructions for the products, the newsletters, the trade fair stand and all this for several products.

Customer care does not end with the sale of our products. The sales department, with office and field staff, and the technical and customer service departments are responsible for maintaining our national and international B2B and B2C contacts. The main focus is on providing pre-sales advice, dealing with queries and concerns about our products and associated services, and providing support and solving problems after the sale.

Behind every step from product idea to customer service is administration and accounting. In the administration department, the focus is primarily on organisational tasks, such as planning and preparing meetings or business trips. In addition, there is the processing of orders for the company and providing assistance and support in all areas of work. The accounting department takes care of the financial aspects of the company. This includes accounts receivable and accounts payable, dunning and liquidity overviews.
